International Young Scholars Journal of Language

International Young Scholars Journal of Language (IYSJL) is an online, peer-reviewed biannual journal. The journal aims to provide an avenue for young scholars to publish their research work and to share their findings or insights with other young scholars, academicians and practitioners. The objective of this journal is to inspire undergraduate students to become prolific writers. The paper should comprise research which is empirically grounded or theoretically oriented.

1. Author Guidelines 

 Submissions of contribution to the International Young Scholars Journal of Language (IYSJL) must be emailed to the Associate Editor. After submission, the editorial team will review the papers and decide whether to accept or do desk rejection. Academic papers will be subjected to a double-blind peer review procedure. Articles submitted to the journal should not have been published before or be under consideration for publication by another journal. Final acceptance of the manuscript is subject to 24% or lesser similarity index in the plagiarism check.

2. Manuscript Requirements

Format All files should be submitted as a Microsoft Word document by savings as 97-2003
Article Length A maximum of 5000 words. This includes all texts, including references
Article Title A title of not more than TEN words
Article Title Page This should include: Article Title, Author Details, Supervisor’s Name (As Second Author-where applicable), Structured Abstract (Purpose, methods, findings, implication, originality of research), Keywords (maximum five), Article Classification (Follow JEL CODE)
Headings Headings must be concise and numbered in roman, with a clear indication of the distinction between the hierarchy of headings. The first level headings are to be presented in bold format and subsequent sub-headings to be presented in italics.
Research Funding Authors must declare all sources of external research funding in their article and a statement to this effect should appear in the Acknowledgements section
Figures All Figures (charts, diagrams, line drawings, web pages/screenshots, and photographic images) should be numbered and be in the text.
Tables Tables should be typed and included in the text in the main body of the article not in  a separate file
References References to other publications must be in APA style (6th Edition) and cautiously checked for totality, accuracy and consistency. This is very important in an electronic environment because it enables your readers to exploit the References
