Alhamdulillah, second year Dietetics students Sem ll, 18/19 managed to conduct a slaughtering course on 27 March 2019. Quails were chosen instead of chickens to give everyone the chance and experience in slaughtering animal. This is a compulsory hands-on learning for Islamic Practices in Food & Nutrition course which is taught by Dr Muhammad. Throughout this subject, they managed to learn the method of slaughtering in a proper Islamic way and the importance of Islamic slaughtering. They felt very lucky throughout this course because this opportunity is rarely available. Overall, they felt very honoured and excited because they did not only manage to do the slaughtering but also cooked and ate their own slaughtered quails. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.
