Foreword 

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

Welcome to the Office of the Deputy Rector (Academic and Internationalisation). Our students’ academic success is our main priority. We are responsible to supervise academic matters for both students and the academic staff. Ensuring high quality academic programmes and providing continuous academic development activities are our main priorities.

IIUM is an International Islamic university that has been given the responsibility to create a Muslim Global Community that has professionals in all critical areas and at the same time upholds the Islamic values of amanah (trust) and integrity.

We work on establishing and sustaining linkages with the industries in order to foster graduates possessing creative and critical thinking, outstanding leadership qualities and confidence, who are well-rounded in the workforce all over the globe. We aim to provide quality and equal educational opportunity for all our students of unique cultural backgrounds, values, languages and traditions.  Since its establishment in 1983 until now, IIUM has produced thousands of graduates with the abilities and capabilities of utilizing their knowledge and skills to contribute back to their communities and the Ummah as a whole.
