Port Dickson - Titian Asli, Akhi, JKQ, Perkim Secretariat, Gemilang, MISI, INSPIRE, COMRADE, QYC, Steadfast, Titian Wahyu, Caring, SENDI, and JASA are the clubs under the auspices of CENSERVE. Each representation of this club has been sent to attend the Strategic Planning Workshop for Community Service Projects.
Organized by CENSERVE Shura Team, the three-days event pulled in 53 participants to present to Madam Martinelli Hashim, HEAD of CENSERVE the almanac for each club for the year of 2011-2015. Almanacs provided each is important to know the direction of each club.
In her speech, Madam Martinelli Hashim elucidated the IIUM mission “from IIUM to the hearts of the Ummah”, and CENSERVE role for cultivating ummatic senses to each student. She hopes that each club to achieve the objectives of CENSERVE in community service to serve the ummah at the same time to bring the impacts to the development of students in skills, attitude and knowledge.
In addition, she also hoped that each student can participate in community service and to spread the pillars of Allah Subhana wa ta’ala, to improve in Islamic knowledge and to reach the people hearts.
“Islamic value such as accountability, tolerance, love, respect are the culture in CENSERVE to guarantee the development of good leadership among students,” she said.
she added that while serving the people, every project CENSERVE often concerned with activities such as Qiyamulail, Asma ulhusna, Usrah, and Alma’thurat. This is because to cultivate good leaders for future as well as high Islamic value.
In line with community service, she hopes to attract attention from public, and sponsors to participate and help. Because she also suggested each club is responsible for making the documentation for each project conducted under the club.
Meanwhile the purpose of the workshop was held is to share experiences between CENSERVE Shura team and the participants. Based on the principle of Mentoring, Ambassador and Mediator (MOM) are the strategic plan from Shura Team to help each club in training and conducting program.
Their role is to help each club to organize, make representations and provide assistance to each club to avoid any predicament when doing community service.
It is part of CENSERVE’s plan for making differences in people lives to achieve Malaysia’s Economic Transportation plan (ETP). Clubs like Titian Asli, JASA, PERKIM Secretariat and Comrade are the clubs that always conducting projects through the development of remote areas and in indigenous settlements.
Thus, CENSERVE hopes through this workshop every club can become excellent in performing club duties and enhanced in Islamic value. And also that every club can generate new intelectuality and credibility among members.
