Diploma in Islamic Studies

DIPLOMA IN ISLAMIC STUDIES aims at providing exposure to the Islamic worldview, knowledge and perspectives. The programme is designed to cater for people from all backgrounds and begins with the fundamental teachings of Islam and gradually builds upon this knowledge to present the rich intellectual heritage of Islam and discusses the Islamic solutions to modern problems faced by the Ummah. The objectives of the programmes are as follows:

  • To enhance the understanding of the Quran and Sunnah
  • To develop good akhlaq and Islamic intellectuality based upon the concept of taqwa (piety)
  • To study, understand and find Islamic solutions for contemporary issues

Entry Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in any discipline from IIUM OR
  • Bachelor degree in any discipline from any recognized university with 5 years of working experience OR
  • Other relevant professional qualification that is acceptable to IIUM with 10 years working experience
