Master of Education (via executive mode)

The main objectives of the Master of Education (via executive mode) programme offered by the Centre is to produce effective educators, teachers and managers with up-to-date knowledge and skills as well as expose them with new and current issues and trends in educational administration, leadership and management.

It has six specializations:

a)   Teaching of Islamic Education

b)   Educational management

c)   Educational Administration

d)   Curriculum and Instructions

e)    Instructional Technology

f)    Counseling

 

DURATION OF STUDY AND MODE OF OFFERING

Executive Mode: Mode A (weekend mode), Mode B (school holiday mode) and Mode C (summer holiday mode – for International students only)

 

CTL/INSTED and the interested parties (such as private schools, government agencies, etc.) may decide on the specific schedule of classess (by phases) to suit their needs as clients.

General Requirements

Requirements of application:

i.    Bachelors Degree in Education or its equivalence.

ii.   Bachelors Degree with Diploma of Education with minimum of one (1) year working experience in educational institution.

iii.  Bachelors Degree in other areas with more than three (3) years working experience in educational institution.

                   iv.   Candidates who do not have a Bachelor’s degree but have more than fifteen (15) years of experience in teaching may be considered.

Language Requirements

The English Language Proficiency Test

i.    A minimum score of 550 (TOEFL), 6.0 (IELTS) or 6.0 (EPT).

ii.   A minimum score of 7.0 (APT)

If any prospective candidate fails to fulfil the 2.75 CGPA, his or her working/teaching experiences, publications, community services, involvement in professional organizations and other relevant competencies and experiences can be taken into consideration.
