OBJECTIVES

To provide the essential foundation knowledge and skills needed in administration of the Islamic judiciary in Malaysia aimed at producing experts in the area and to provide grounding for anyone seeking to further their knowledge in Syariah judiciary and advocacy practice.

Those who intend to joint the service as the Syariah Court Officials.

Programme Description

COURSES

Duration : Full Time - 1 year (2 Semesters)
Class Schedule : Monday – Friday (9am – 5.00pm)
Medium of Instruction : Bahasa Melayu and Arabic


Semester 1

  1. Teks Undang-Undang (Arabic)
  2. Undang-Undang Keluarga
  3. Sistem Perundangan Islam
  4. Sistem Undang-Undang Malaysia
  5. Kaedah Kajian & Mooting

Semester 2

  1. Kaedah-Kaedah Feqah
  2. Acara Jenayah Mahkamah Syariah
  3. Undang-Undang Keterangan
  4. Undang-undang Jenayah Islam
  5. Acara Mal Mahkamah Syariah
  6. Pengurusan Harta Pesaka

Entry Requirements

General Requirements
The courses will be conducted in Bahasa Melayu and Arabic. An applicant must show prociency by producing any
one of the following:

  1. Possess a Pass at the SPM level or equivalent with at least a Credit in Bahasa Malaysia or equivalent
  2. Obtain exemption after sitting for the IIUM-administered Arabic Placement Test (APT).

Specic requirements

  1. Possess a Bachelor of Laws (Shariah) with Honours [LL.B. (S) (Hons)] Degree from IIUM; or
  2. Possess a Bachelor of Shariah from any other Universities recognized by IIUM; or
  3. any other equal qualications approved by IIUM

 

Course Fee

Full Time   :    Rm 15,100.00  (Malaysian Students)
