Faridah Abdul Malik is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Languages and Pre-University Academic Development. Having been teaching for over 20 years, she has virtually taught all levels of proficiency classes as well as EAW and EOP courses at CELPAD, and at several other universities.
She has been actively involved in developing curriculum and materials for various English courses. She also teaches Research Methodology and the Teaching of Speaking and Listening Courses for the TESL programme. Her main research interest is the teaching of listening and oral communication skills. Her other interests include metacognition, grammar teaching methodology and L2 acquisition. She is currently the Head of the English Language Department at CELPAD.
