Expert Profile
Mohd Sultan Ibrahim graduated with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering in 1999 from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and obtained a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the same university in 2002. He later obtained his Ph.D. in Aeronautics from Imperial College London in 2010. Currently, he is attached as an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, IIUM. He is engaged in teaching Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, Finite Element Analysis, and Machine Design. He is also involved with several consultation works namely with Dalia Industries Sdn. Bhd on the development of composite pole and with CTRM on springback analysis of aerospace parts made of composites. His research interest includes FEA and failure analysis of composite structures.
