Expert Profile


Dr. Asma obtained her BIRK, MIRK degrees from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in Usuluddin and Comparative Religion. She finished her VIVA for her Ph.D in Islamic Revealed Knowledge at IIUM on 31st of December 2014 in the field of Contemporary Sikhism in Malaysia.
She received the al-Ghazali Award (Department of Usuluddin and Comparative Religion) during her convocation for Bachelor's degree in 2004. She got first place in the class ranking out of 163 students of Usuluddin and Comparative Religion.
She was invited as one of the presenters for "Seminar Gagasan Islah dan Tajdid Shah Waliyullah Al-Dihlawi 27 April 2010". Her paper was entitled "Sumbangan Shah Waliullah al-Dihlawi dalam bidang 'Ilmu".
In 2003, she received first place of the undergraduate research competition by the Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed and Heritage (IRK Division) for her paper "Al-Tawhid as the basis of Islamic civilization".
She joined IIUM in 2004 as a Matriculation teacher in the Department of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences. In 2005, she joined the Department of Usuluddin and Comparative Religion as an Assistant Lecturer, and currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the same Department.
