Arlina Zura Zuber has been in the education field since 2000. She started her career as an English Language Tutor at the Universiti Industri Selangor (UNISEL) after completing her Bachelor (Education) TESL from Universiti Putra Malaysia obtained in 1999. Then, Arlina continued her studies and graduated in Professional Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Business Management (PDEBM) from Universiti Malaya in 2002. Later, Arlina furthered her Masters (Sc.) Mass Communication from Universiti Teknologi Mara in 2005. Thinking that studying and working are utmost important, Arlina had taught part-time at the Japanese School of Kuala Lumpur (JSKL) for 2 years. While waiting for the convocation day, Arlina then gained experience working part-time at IIUM as an English Tutor. Believing that her degrees are invaluable and ought to be put to use, Arlina worked at Malaysia-Japan University Centre (MJUC-UTM) where she liaised with the Japanese Embassy in Kuala Lumpur and built rapport with the Japanese Professors as they were in the pursue to establish a university between the Malaysian and the Japanese governments. In September 2006, Arlina started working full-time at IIUM to teach English Language and has since held few Coordinator positions. Arlina is a Lecturer at the Centre for Languages and Pre-University Academic Development (CELPAD) of IIUM.
