Expert Profile


Wan Narmi Aziana W. Abdullah has been in the education field since 1994. She started her career as an English Language Teacher in Government Schools after completing a 2 ½ year training programme in 1993 at Maktab Perguruan Kinta Ipoh (Kinta Teacher Training College, Ipoh). She holds a Bachelor Degree (Honours) in TESL from the International Islamic University Malaysia and is currently pursuing her postgraduate studies in Education (Instructional Technology).
Narmi has vast experience in teaching youngsters and adults. Among the courses that she currently teaches are English for Occupational Purposes, English for Academic Writing and Basic Language Skills for pre-sessional students. Other programmes that she has conducted for adults are Teacher Training (ALS), Good Pronunciation Skills (Malaysia Timber Industry Board), Radio Camp (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Effective Business Writing Skills (RusselBedford LC & Company) and also Communication & Negotiation Skills (Marditech), Communication In the Workplace (CIMB), Business Communication (UUM Pace and Executive Programme), Basic Communication Skills (MACA) and many others. She is also active in proofreading/editing work for theses and journal articles.
Among the posts she has held for CELPAD, IIUM are Assistant Course Coordinator (LE 0620), TEMU (Testing & Measurement Unit) Assistant Coordinator, English for Academic Writing (LE 4000) Course Coordinator and EDUCALL Coordinator (Educational Technology). Currently, she is seconded to Malaysia Anti-Corruption Academy for her expertise and experience.
