Expert Profile


Nurul Hanilah binti Mohd Ismath (Assistant Prof. Dr.) is currently an academic staff at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She obtained Bachelor of Human Sciences in Arabic Language and Literature (2008) and Master of Human Sciences in Arabic Linguistic Studies (2011) from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She joined the Centre of Languages and Pre- University Academic Development (CELPAD) as an Arabic teacher after completion of her 1st degree in December 2008 until September 2012. She pursued her studies at University of Jordan and obtained her PhD degree in Arabic Language and Literature (August, 2016). 







Her research interests are mainly in Arabic Linguictic Studies; pragmatic, sociolinguistics and applied linguistics. She has been actively involved in national and international conferences around the world and contributed to journals. She presented papers in several conferences at KUIPs (2021), UNISZA (2017), Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University, Jakarta (UIN) (2012), Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM) (2012), University Putra Malaysia (UPM) (2012) and International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) (2011). She has also published an article in India (Majalla al-Aasima Vol 13,2021), Iran (sardaniyyah arabiyyah, vol2, 2021), Jordan (dirasat in social sc 2018), Malaysia (dirasat iium 2016 and international academic journal Al-Dad issued in Dec 2018, and June 2012, Department of Arabic and Middle Eastern Languages, Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, University of Malaya) 








She was the recipient of gold award (best research in ICICM2021) and bronze award (best presenter in ICICM2021)
