Expert Profile


Asst. Dr. Nour El Huda Abd Rahim is an Assistant Professor who graduated from the Melaka Manipal Medical College with MBBS in 2005. She served as a medical officer at the government hospitals but due to her passion for the teaching profession, she joined the IIUM teaching fraternity. She received the Best Student Award for her Master thesis entitled “Formulation of Tualang Honey as Intraarticular Injection for Osteoarthritis” and later in 2018 was awarded a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences (Pharmacology) from the Kulliyyah of Medicine, IIUM based on her thesis “DNA Methylation of COMT, DRD2, and DRD4 Genes in Schizophrenia Patients”. Currently, she is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at the Kulliyyah of Medicine. She is a life member of the Genetics Society of Malaysia (2017 to date).
