Expert Profile
Amar Fettane obtained his BSc from the University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia, and his Master and PhD degrees from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in Qurʾan & Sunnah Studies. Upon completion of his PhD he took up a lecturer position at IIUM in October 2011 at the Department of Fundamental and Inter-Disciplinary Studies, Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences. He was on secondment as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Science in Engineering, in the Kulliyyah of Engineering. He is involved in a project to develop two textbooks on Islamic engineering ethics and values, technology, and society from an Islamic perspective for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He received the Bronz Medal for his research on Text Criticism among the Sahabah during IRIIE 2014.
Currently, he is serving as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Qurʾan & Sunnah Studies.
