Expert Profile
Nor Amirah Sakinah Alias holds a Bachelor Degree in English Language and Literature (with specialization in Linguistics). Since joining CELPAD IIUM in 2013 as a CELPAD teacher, she has been holding numerous positions; LEP Representative, Assistant Coordinator, Exam Test Setter, Deputy Head of English Language Department (2019 - 2021) and currently as Coordinator for English Remedial Course (2022 – now). She is also active as a committee for CFS Ibadah Camp (2018), judge for IIUM Kuantan's writing competition (2018), facilitator in UMP CSR Reading Programme and also as a proof-reader for CFS IIUM Handbook (2019 - 2021). Besides, she has managed a number of get-together events for ELD CFS and CSR activities. Some CSR activities conducted were Surau Project, Free Market, and also series of online talks with regard to protecting the environment. Parked under CELPAD Flagship Programme, she was appointed as the coordinator of ELD CFS Module Writing Programme which over the span of 2 years, her team had successfully published an e-book entitled ‘Road to Sustainable Life: The green fellowship’ in 2022 and also won silver award for an International Competition on Sustainable Education (SUSED 2022) by KOED IIUM. She looks forward in expanding her knowledge in English Language teaching and innovation in teaching.
