Expert Profile
Dr. Nur Nazifah Mansor started her career as a Research Assistant at the National Fish Health Research Centre under the Department of Fisheries, Malaysia (2005-2008). She continued her studies in Master of Science (MSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology (2008-2013). She was then employed by the Ministry of Agriculture as a research officer from 2013-2014.
In 2014, she was appointed as an academic staff at Kulliyyah of Science under the Department of Marine Science where she taught Marine Biology, Marine Oceanography, Fish Health and Seafood Security. Her specialties are in Fish Health, Fish Disease and Aquaculture. Her current research also involves fish bacteriology, vaccinology, fish diseases, aquaculture and molecular biology.
She has patented a recombinant vaccine against Streptococcosis in Oreochromis spp (PI2013700605). She also had published in ISI and Scorpus Indexed Journals. Currently, she is doing research on Determination of Biochemical Biomarkers Contained in the Body Fluid of Infected Oreochromis SPP. in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries, Malaysia.
