Expert Profile
Mohd Fuad Miskon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Marine Science at International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM). He is the current Head of Institute, Institute of Oceanography and Maritime Studies (INOCEM), Kulliyah of Science, since 2018. He is also a leader of IIUM Flagship Project – School for Sustainable Marine Livelihood since 2019. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Marine Science from University Malaysia Terengganu in 2008 and 2011 respectively, and his Ph.D. in Bioscience from International Islamic University Malaysia in 2016. His research focuses generally on marine biogeochemistry and aquatic pollution, specific in heavy metal, rare earth elements and microplastics. He has led and been involved in research projects under FRGS, RIGS and E-Science. His research and project have won a silver medal award during IIUM Research, Invention and Innovation Exhibition 2013, and bronze medal during Invention, Innovation and Design Exposition 2016. He has published more than 20 ISI and non-ISI journals with over 30 citations.
