Expert Profile


Dr. Dhamirah Nazihah is a Clinical Pathologist specializing in Hematology, having been in the role since 2021. She currently serves as the Head of the Hematology Unit and Quality Manager for the Department of Pathology at Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Centre @ IIUM. Prior to this, she worked as a Medical Officer from 2015 to 2021. In addition to her clinical work, she is a medical lecturer, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in transfusion medicine and hematology diagnostics. Dr. Dhamirah has led her department through its successful transition to ISO 15189:2022 standards. Her primary professional interests include laboratory quality assurance, digital morphology, hemostasis, thrombosis, and optimizing healthcare systems through evidence-based practices. She is actively involved in research on AI-supported hematological analyzers and improving lab operations.
