Expert Profile


Dr. Shafie Kamaruddin, started his career as Testing Executive at SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd, a company providing testing and certification services, in 2009 after completing his Bachelor's degree from International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM). He was assigned at Fire Protection Section for approximately two years. Then, he obtained Master of Science Engineering (Manufacturing) from IIUM and Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from University of Birmingham (UK). He is currently an Assistant Professor in Manufacturing & Materials Engineering. His areas of expertise and interests are in Intelligent Optimization, Rapid Prototyping, and Manufacturing Automation.
