Nazirah Mat Russ obtained her Bachelor of Quantity Surveying from International Islamic University Malaysia in 2007 and Master of Science in Project Management from the University of Malaya in 2014.
She is exposed to the real world of the construction industry as she worked for three years as a quantity surveyor as well as an assistant project manager before joining the education field in 2009.
Currently, Nazirah Mat Russ is a matriculation lecturer at the Department of Architecture and Environmental Design (AED). She has been trusted to teach all the theory subjects such as Introduction to Mathematics, Introduction to Statistics, Introduction to Economics and Introduction to Built Environment specifically in the context of built environment field. In 2013, Nazirah Mat Russ was given the Best Teacher Award as a representative from AED Department.
