Ts. Dr. Kamarulzaman bin Mahmad Khairai is currently appointed as an Assistant Professor at Manufacturing and Materials Engineering Department, Kulliyyah of Engineering, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). 

He is a graduate of Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing Engineering (Hons) from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Industrial Ergonomics from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA). 

Registered as a member with the Malaysian Board of Engineers (BEM) and the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT) and obtained a degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM).

He has extensive experience of 10 years in manufacturing sectors such as automotive, medical, military and aviation products. Joined TT Electronics Kuantan as a Production Supervisor, got promoted to Senior Industrial Engineer and finally became Assistant Manager of the Industrial Engineering & Lean Manufacturing department before starting a career as an academician.

He has expertise in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Ergonomics, Production Planning & Control and Operations Management that can benefit to industrial linkage between academic world and industry for collaboration.
