Expert Profile

As a lecturer in the Kulliyyah of Information and Communication Technology (KICT) at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), I am a dedicated educator and researcher with a strong academic foundation, including a PhD in Mathematical and Computer Sciences from Heriot-Watt University, United Kingdom. I have extensive experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses across a range of ICT-related disciplines.

My research programme centres on Artificial Intelligence (AI)–driven approaches within interdisciplinary ICT contexts, with particular emphasis on AI-enabled technical systems, intelligent usability evaluation, and knowledge representation through ontologies and machine reasoning. My peer-reviewed publications examine themes such as AI-supported technology adaptation among elderly usersontology-based and intelligent architectures for resilient digital marketplaces, and data-driven evaluations of user interaction and satisfaction in online service systems. Through this work, I aim to develop human-centred AI research that combines computational intelligence with a clear understanding of user behaviour, ethical concerns, and real-world technology use.

In my teaching role, I am committed to fostering student-centred learning by integrating contemporary ICT concepts with practical applications, with the aim of preparing students for both industry and research-oriented careers. I guide learners through foundational and advanced topics such as web and mobile technologies and usability evaluation, ensuring that students develop strong technical competencies alongside the ethical awareness and communication skills required in the digital economy. My pedagogical approach emphasises conceptual clarity, hands-on problem solving, and reflective engagement with real-world ICT challenges, enabling students to transition effectively from academic theory to applied practice.

My scholarly output, which includes multiple journal articles and book chapters, has attracted citations within international research networks, indicating recognition of my contributions to the global ICT research community. I actively involve students in research activities, supervising final-year and postgraduate projects aligned with my research interests, and nurturing analytical thinking, research skills, and scholarly independence among emerging researchers.
