Expert Profile
He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, Kulliyyah of Engineering, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Before becoming an academic staff in 2017, he was a Ph.D Researcher in Centre for Propulsion, School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing, Cranfield University, United Kingdom. He was awarded MSc (Mechanical Engineering-Aerospace) and B.Eng (Aerospace Engineering) in IIUM. His research focus area in aerospace propulsion technologies includes pressure gained combustor, performance and emissions of aero-gas turbines, alternative fuels, hybrid rocket technology, and optimization. Currently, he is the Vice Chairman of Aerospace Society Malaysia (AEROS), Executive Board Member of Southeast Asia Network for Aerospace Engineering (SAWAE), Programme Committee Propulsion & Energy of International Council of Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS), Technical Committee Hybrid Rocket of American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA), Professional Engineer (Aerospace - BEM), Professional Technologist (Aerospace and Aviation Technology- MBOT), Full Member of Young Scientist Network-Academy Science Malaysia (YSN-ASM) and Associate Editor for Journal of Aeronautics, Astronautics and Aviation (JoAAA). He has published in reputable journals and presented technical papers in many international conferences. He has several industrial projects with industries and has become a consultant with MTC Engineering and Lestari Aero Sdn Bhd. He is also a Research Fellow in High Energy Material Research Laboratory, UiTM.
