Ir Dr Mohd Farid Aladdin is an assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Kulliyyah of Engineering, IIUM. He obtained hi B.Eng (Hons) Mechanical (Automotive) Engineering from IIUM, his M.Sc (Mathematics) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia(UPM). Dr Farid is also a Professional Engineer (Mechanical) registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). Besides academic, he is also an examiner for IMeche Professional Review Interview(PRI) for Malaysia region and a panel for Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) Malaysia. He also involve with consultation role in engineering (mainly in noise and vibration), process improvement, Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR) and policy reform with government agencies. His current research interest are in Automotive NVH, Human response to noise and vibration, Occupational Safety from Noise and vibration, process improvement and regulatory reform in industry
