Expert Profile
Dr. Aidrina Sofiadin completed her doctoral research in Sustainable E-learning Framework at Curtin University, Australia. As an academic, she is interested in establishing sustainable education and humanising education to enhance student's learning experiences and ensure they complement future needs. Aidrina is a certified professional and a member of the Australian Computer Society(ACS). She is also a certified professional technologist by the Malaysia Board of Technologists. Aidrina is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Information Systems, Kulliyyah of Information and Communication Technology, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). At the same time, she also holds a post as Deputy Director of Innovation at the Office of Knowledge for Change and Advancement, IIUM. She has completed several courses on Extended Reality (XR), Web Development, and Sustainable Development. She is a certified Virtual Learning Educator (VLE) and a fellow instructor for Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), Barzinji Project, Shenandoah University - USA. Also, Aidrina has been appointed as Lead Auditor in a few internal audits. As a certified professional and university lecturer, Aidrina is deeply committed to sustainable education and the humanization of the learning experience. In 2024, she and her team has been awarded the ITEX 2024 Gold medal for the invention ADAM I.K.M.A.L at 35th International Invention, Innovation, Technology Competition and Exhibition 2024. Furthermore, she won a silver medal in an International Competition Sustainable Education 2022, in which she developed an Augmented Reality app for student learning. With a profound dedication to creating impactful and meaningful educational environments, my work focuses on integrating sustainability principles into curriculum design and teaching methodologies. Aidrina published her work in several peer-reviewed journals and book chapters and participated in local and global conferences. Her approach emphasizes the importance of cultivating a holistic and empathetic learning atmosphere, where students are encouraged to develop critical thinking skills, environmental stewardship, and a sense of global responsibility.
