Expert Profile


Dr. Wan Hasliza is an Associate Professor at the Kulliyyah of Nursing, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Nursing) and a Master of Science (Medical Statistics) from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Dr. Wan Hasliza completed her PhD in Health Science at the University of Southampton, UK, and also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Studies from IIUM, along with a Professional Certificate in Education & Teaching for Nursing Professionals from KPJ Healthcare University College, Nilai, Malaysia. She has held key administrative roles at IIUM, including Deputy Dean and Head of Department. Her research interests focus on spiritual care, decision making, chronic diseases, nursing education, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. As an active reviewer of books, conference proceedings, and journal articles, she is committed to advancing nursing knowledge. Beyond her research and leadership roles, Dr. Wan Hasliza is dedicated to teaching and supervising Master’s and PhD students, guiding the next generation of healthcare professionals and researchers.
