Dr Muhammad Zaki Bin Ramli is an Assistant Professor at the Kulliyyah of Dentistry, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Kuantan Campus. He is a highly regarded academic and researcher with a robust background in biotechnology and biomedical sciences. Dr Zaki holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biotechnology from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA). His doctoral training has equipped him with a deep understanding of both industrial and environmental biotechnology, with a special focus on the salivary microbiome and its implications for health. His research interests are broad and interdisciplinary, encompassing industrial and environmental biotechnology, the salivary microbiome, and the biomedical sciences. He is a life member of the Persatuan Penterjemah Malaysia (Malaysian Translators Association), which reflects his commitment to the dissemination of scientific knowledge across linguistic and cultural boundaries. These subjects are fundamental to a comprehensive understanding of human biology, disease mechanisms, and pharmacological principles, and Dr Zaki’s teaching is informed by his extensive research experience and commitment to student learning.
