Expert Profile
Norazlina Saidin received the B.Eng. in Telecommunications in 2005 and started her career as a Technical Support at the VADS Berhad, Kuala Lumpur in 2005. She joined academia when she was appointed as an Assistant Lecturer at the Centre for Affiliate and Diploma Programme, Multimedia University, Malacca for two years.
At the same time, she furthered her studies in MSc.Eng Telecommunication at University of Malaya and was granted the MSc.Eng in 2010. She joined International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) as a Matriculation Teacher in 2007 and was promoted to Matriculation lecturer in 2010 with the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Centre for Foundation Studies.
She obtained her Ph.D degree in Fiber Optics from Photonics Research Centre, University of Malaya in 2015 with her thesis "Development of Thulium doped and co-doped Fiber Lasers for 1.9 micron Region Operation". She has successfully published eight journal papers in a high impact journal in the area of Photonics. She is currently a lecturer with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
