Izhairi bt. Ismail started working with IIUM in 1993 as an Assistant Lecturer. She went to further her studies in Toledo Ohio, USA and got her MBA in 1996. She came back and worked as a lecturer until year 2000. She then earned her Ph.D from University Putra Malaysia in 2004. As an Assistant Professor until today, Izhairi has been teaching various courses at undergraduate and master's levels, such as MBA. She also supervises Ph.D and DBA students.
Izhairi has been involved in several administrative duties, including Publication Coordinator and Kulliyyah Student Advisor. Izhairi has also been appointed several times as an external examiner for UiTM. Her research activitiy in Hospital Management with her colleagues has been awarded as the Best Research Award by the university during Quality Day 2012.
