Expert Profile
Ruhaya Hussin is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Her previous affiliations include University Science Islam Malaysia (2005-2007) and University Malaysia Terengganu (2003-2005). Before joining the academia, Ruhaya has been in the field, practising counseling as a Student Counselor at UMT.
Ruhaya has articles and book chapters to her credit published by IIUM Press, USIM and UMS. She is also the co-author of Teori Kaunseling dan Psikoterapi, which has won several awards such as Highest Royalty Award 2015 (Malay Book category) and Best Selling Award 2015 (Malay Book Category from USIM. Ruhaya has also presented papers at national and international conferences, both in Malaysia and overseas, including New Zealand.
Ruhaya is currently affiliated with a number of professional bodies such as the Malaysian Psychological Association (life member), Malaysian Counseling Association (member), and New Zealand Positive Psychology Association (member). 13436602195195
