Munayati binti Munajar @ Munajat obtained her Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) from UiTM and completed her Master's at Sheffield Hallam University, UK and graduated with an MSc (Applying Physiotherapy-Musculoskeletal). Upon completion of her Master degree she returned to Malaysia in November 2011 and took up a lecturer's position at the Department of Physical Rehabilitation Sciences at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
In 2014, she was invited as a panel member to review the curriculum/syllabus for Diploma in Physiotherapy, University Sultan Zainal Abidin.
Before she did her Master's she was a Physiotherapist at Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre, Ampang.
Presently she is a Clinical Coordinator at the Department of Physical Rehabilitation Sciences at the IIUM. Other than teaching, she is a Physiotherapist in the Physiotherapy Clinic, Kulliyyah of Allied Health Sciences.
