Asst. Prof. Dr Zulhilmi bin Adul Razak started housemanship training at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan Kuantan in 2006 after completing his undergraduate studies at University Putra of Malaysia Selangor. In 2007, he served as a medical officer in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatric and Orthopedic and in 2008, was sent to Klinik Kesihatan Pekan Tajau, Maran for one year to serve the community as a medical and health officer.
He came back to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan in 2009 and joined the Ophthalmology Department. He enrolled for the Master' of Surgery, MS Ophthal with the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya (UM). He spent four years to complete the Master's programme and was awarded the Master of Surgery, MS Ophthal (UM) in June 2014. He completed his gazettement for six months at Hospital Angkatan Tentera Tuanku Mizan, Kuala Lumpur and returned to Kuantan to serve the IIUM Eye Specialist Clinic, IIUM Kuantan as a Clinical Specialist.
