Expert Profile


Mohamed Asmy Bin Mohd Thas Thaker obtained his B.Economics (Hons), Master of Economics and Ph.D Economics from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Upon completion of his Ph.D, he joined IIUM in October 2014 as Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics.
He specialises in Economic Development, SMEs Islamic Economics, Waqf, Zakat and Islamic Banking & Finance. Currently, he is a member of Centre of Islamic Economics, IIUM and Malaysian Economic Association.
