Qatar Charity donates essential food assistance for needy IIUM staffs

GOMBAK, 10 April 2023: A humanitarian and development non governmental organization based in Middle East, Qatar Charity has handed over boxes containing essential food assistance for needy IIUM staff on Friday (7 April).

In the welcoming remarks, Deputy Rector of Student Development and Community Engagement, Prof Dr Akmal Khuzairy Abd Rahman said that this assistance will further strengthen the relationship between the university and Qatar Charity.

“This remarkable contribution from them (Qatar Charity), not only portrayed the warm gestures to the university but also helped in making both parties benefit from each other” he said.

The recipient will get 10kg of rice, cooking oil, flour, sugar, salt. Instant noodles, malt drinks, tea/coffee bags, condensed milk, soy sauce , chili sauce, canned sardines, canned beef/chicken curry and dates from the charity box.

This charity box also benefits over 60 recipients from the facility management services provider, Daya Bersih as well as staff from Office of Security and Management (OSEM).
