Prime Minister Dato' Sri Najib Tun Razak delivered his keynote address and launched the International Conference On Global Movement of Moderates at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) on 17th January 2012.    

Prof. Azmi Appointed DG of Jeddah based IRTI

International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM)'s Dean of Islamic Banking and Financial Institute, Prof. Datuk Mohd Azmi Omar has been appointed Director General of the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) in Jeddah effective on 1st February 2012.The announcement was made by Minister of Higher Education Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.

IIUM RECTOR PRESENTS ROYAL COFFEE TABLE BOOK TO PRIME MINISTER

IIUM Rector Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin presented a Coffee Table Book on Sultan of Pahang, HRH Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. The event took place at Dewan Tun Razak 1, PWTC, Kuala Lumpur on 18thDecember 2011   

IPAC 2011

Minister in Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom attended Islamic Performing Arts Concert (IPAC) 2011 at Cultural Activity Centre, IIUM on 29th November 2011. Also present were IIUM Rector Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin and Deputy Rector (Student Affairs), Prof. Dr. Nik Ahmad Kamal Nik Mahmod.     

IIUM SIGNS MOU WITH ROYAL MALAYSIAN POLICE

International Islamic University Malaysia signed Memorandum of Understanding with Logistic Department, Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) for the adoption of IIUM SUKSIS Voluntary Corps to strengthen, promote and develop mutual cooperation between the two parties. IIUM was represented by its Rector Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin; while Director of Logistic Department, RMP, Dato’ Pahlawan Zulkifli Abdullah signed on behalf of RMP.

MOCK CHEQUE PRESENTATION FROM AFFIN ISLAMIC BANK

IIUM Rector Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin received a mock cheque for IIUM Endowment Fund from CEO of Affin Islamic Bank Berhad, En. Kamarul Ariffin Mohd. Jamil. The presentation ceremony was held at the office of the Rector on 18th November 2011.
